Scholarship Description:

Would you like to experience U.S. student life? If yes, The University of North Texas offers the chance to compete in the Global Scholarships for Excellence.

The training program is offered for foreign students wanting to enter the university’s first-time freshmen. For qualify for this distinction, candidates must have a proven record of academic achievement.

Host College/University:

North Texas University is one of the largest universities in the U.S. country. They provide 105 bachelor programs, 88 masters programs and 37 doctoral programs.

Field of Study:

The funding will be granted to research at any University bachelor’s degree.

Scholarship Award: 

Excellence Scholarships are awarded at five grades.

  • The President’s cumulative reward payment is $40,000 for the four-year term.
  • Dean’s cumulative reward amount is $32,000 for a four-year term.
  • The North Texas Award’s cumulative award volume is $24,000 over a four-year term.
  • Eagle’s cumulative bonus amount is $16,000 for a four-year term.
  • Scrappy’s cumulative bonus amount is $4,000 for a four-year term.

Requirements are valid for foreign students.

Eligibility Criteria:

The qualification requirements are as follows;

  • A first-time freshmen admitted to UNT shortly after graduation from high school for the fall term.
  • Students are recommended to apply to give adequate time for processing no later than 1 February.
  • Each fall and spring semester, a full-time student takes at least 12 UNT hours.
  • Those qualified for UNT Excellence Scholarships are qualifying non-Texas residents and international students.
  • Texas non-residents and foreign students earning an Excellence Scholarship qualify for the fall, spring and subsequent summer tuition rates in the state.

Applying procedure Instructions:

The following eligibility requirements are intended for candidates who wish to apply for scholarships:

  • In order to apply, candidates must be accepted to the Jakarta Intercultural School. When accepted to UNT, applicants are automatically considered for UNT Excellence Scholarships.
  • Applicants must request official transcripts and SAT or ACT scores in order to apply.
  • UNT Excellence Grants provide four years of funding for candidates who achieve the eligibility criteria for a bachelor’s degree:
  1. Retain constant participation and every fall and spring take at least 12 UNT hours;
  2. Retain a total average of 3.25 UNT GPA; and
  3. During the fall and spring, accomplish a total of 24 UNT hours each year.
  • All foreign UNT applicants should prove English language skills.
