Scholarship Description:

Enhance your study experience and learn new skills by applying for the International Accommodation Scholarships at Newcastle University. The program is open for the academic year 2021-22.

Scholarship Award: 

Every good researcher will continue receiving tuition, an annual stipend at the UKRI rate (£15,609 for 2021 entry), as well as a comprehensive traveling and consumables package.


Candidates from any nationalities are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

To decide whether or not you are qualified for this program, review the requirements given:

  • Applicants will have to take enrollment to a PhD at the Newcastle University before submitting the application for the opportunity.
  • Applicants must already have masters-level training in Data Science or a closely related subject such as Computing Science or Statistics, or equivalent qualifications.
  • University may also accept candidates with lower or non-standard credentials on an individual basis if they have relevant professional experience in computing and statistics.

  • Applicants must review the institution’s entrance criteria to be considered for the award.
  • From all non-native English speakers, the university can be asked to provide one of the following certificates of their English proficiency: TOEFL-iBT, IELTS, TOEIC, Eiken or others.
